Ventilation of a machine hall is to be simulated in order to create better working conditions by a better (optimized) ventilation via specific geometry changes.
A machine was depicted in a simplified way in the middle of the hall. During operation dirt particles develop which have to be carried away from the machine via systematic ventilation in order to improve workplace conditions.
Two scenarios had been simulated with the air exhaustion device being once positioned at the roof and once at the side walls of the machine hall.
The color of the particles represents the concentration of dirt.
In direct comparison concentration of dirt in the machine hall is considerably lower with the air exhaustion device being positioned at the side walls.
