Boundary conditions

Boundary conditions are the forces or specified deformations that act externally on a closed system.  In general, they are all values that are specified at the boundaries of a calculation model. This also includes pressure, temperature, velocity, acceleration, etc.

For example, a fixed bearing has a given deformation of 0.

In the simplest case of statics, either the deformation or the force is known at each point of the boundary.
