Through partnerships in innovative networks, Merkle & Partner wants to benefit from the developments of megatrends. The collaboration ranges from development to marketing of the results.
The networks are managed by EurA Consult AG and are NEMO projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology as part of the Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM).
MERKLE & PARTNER is a member of the following networks:
The aim of the “Modular Hydrogen Power Plant” project by EurA innovation is to store “excess” regenerative energy regardless of location in the short or long term and to make it available as base load or control energy if required. By 2020, an energy storage facility is to be developed that is comparable to the existing economical storage concept for pumped storage power plants. 23 partners from small and medium-sized companies, research institutions and large companies pool their knowledge, use synergies and implement ideas together. You can download the network flyer here.
The e-mobility network is intended to develop and market lightweight components for electromobility. The medium-sized supplier industry is to be given a platform that enables early and solid preparation for the upcoming changes in electromobility. The focus is on new developments and joint R&D activities for the electric vehicle. Task forces were formed on the subjects of drive, energy management and body / chassis.
In the future, the entire value chain of medium-sized suppliers should be represented in the network: material suppliers, machine manufacturers, toolmakers, design offices, component manufacturers, service providers and institutes or universities.
The aim of the Green IT network is to set up a technology platform, create an innovation concept and initiate suitable measures for the development, implementation and marketing of systems with which 10% to 50% cost savings can be achieved in IT and data centers by increasing energy efficiency.
This will be realised through the development of software and services for the control and processing of applications and data in data centers, the development of new hardware for converting heat from servers and the development of systems for economical reuse in buildings.
In recent years, our own product developments have built up our innovative competence and successfully launched our own products and services on the market. The network encompasses the entire value chain and all those involved in the manufacture, construction and monitoring of computer capacities, including the users of the data centers.
HybridSens pursues the standardization of transmission and evaluation units of sensors. The aim is to develop a competence and technology platform for the development, combination and marketing of innovative sensors and sensor products, sensor data acquisition, analysis and evaluation concepts and visualization systems for information and data.
The target markets for hybrid sensors are primarily industrial automation, alternative energy generation, the food industry, medical technology and surface technology.
The network consists of developers and users of sensor technology, engineering service providers and research institutions. The companies want to pool their potential, explore synergies and implement and market the ideas resulting from the collaboration in joint R&D projects.
A modern sports prototype racing car has been developed at STEP1 – Sportprototype Team Engineering Project 1 since the middle of 2008. The STEP1 team now consists of a substantial number of companies and individuals from the development, calculation, production, testing and marketing sectors. They have set themselves the task of contributing to the development of the vehicle by contributing their respective skills.
The basis of the racing car with the type designation MiKar C301B is the car class E2 / C3 of the FIA regulations for two-seated, open sports cars. Mountain races are individual time trials on an ascending route, typically closed country roads, where the finish line is higher than the start line. For the time being, the vehicle will be used at mountain racing championships.
In order to guarantee optimal and satisfactory solutions for our customers, MERKLE & PARTNER maintains strategic partnerships with leading companies in the industry.
