Merkle & Partner opens new branches

With more than 31 years of company history, the engineering office Merkle & Partner is one of the first service providers of engineering calculations and simulations in Germany. Through the new branch office in Wolfsburg, which was opened in November last year, primarily the field of fluid mechanics is dealt with. Together with the cooperation partner EDAG AG, one of the largest development partners in the automotive industry, current challenges in mobility are worked on in Wolfsburg to support Volkswagen AG.

"The most current of these topics is e-mobility. In addition, in Wolfsburg we focus on covering the areas of aerodynamics, interior air conditioning, thermal protection, multiphase flow and transmission oiling," says Stefan Merkle, managing director of Merkle & Partner.

The Erfurt branch, which was established in the new year, focuses primarily on numerical FEM simulation with Abaqus, containment, elastomer calculation and simulation for crash and drop tests.

"Based on engineering calculations, even complex reality can be observed quickly and precisely nowadays. This is a valuable support for engineering and design-side development services. Calculations carried out in advance can thus solve problems that are driving the automotive industry; in a short time, with precise results and concrete solution approaches for further decisions. Engineering calculations thus provide an important basis for keeping pace in today's market. I am sure that together with our customers and partners we will be able to meet many requirements constructively and make a great deal of difference," says Stefan Merkle.
