For several years now, the management team of Merkle & Partner has been meeting regularly twice a year at Schloss Lautrach to discuss strategic issues and to continually realign the company.

Schloss Lautrach was purchased by the inventor of the gyrocompass, Hermann Anschütz-Kaempfe, in 1921 for 600,000 marks and transferred as a donation to the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. From 1922, it served as a meeting place for scientists, artists and Nobel Prize winners. In addition to Albert Einstein, the scientists Karl von Frisch, Arnold Sommerfeld, Heinrich Wieland, Wilhelm Wien, the painters Raoul Frank and Olaf Gulbransson, and the conductor Hans Knappertsbusch were among the notable guests, and today it is used as a conference center in keeping with the old traditions.

Lautrach Castle was brought to my attention by a good friend, Peter Edelmann, who had met here regularly with his executives from Voith Turbo.
In the Albert Einstein room, we find the optimal place to deal with the future of Merkle & Partner, far away from the everyday environment, with excellent food and inspiring surroundings.

After years of alignment, consolidation and streamlining, we are now rededicating ourselves to expansion and further growth.

Here, the saying "Imagination is more important than knowledge, because knowledge is limited" serves as our guideline.

We would like to thank the entire team of Schloss Lautrach for the friendly and perfect setting they always provide for us.

Follow this path with us.
