CAE stands for Computer-Aided Engineering. This term covers all computer-aided solutions for work processes in development and design.


This includes maturity calculations, acoustics, fluid mechanics, heat conduction as well as simulations and analyses for the optimization of processes and products.

This means that from calculation, testing, dimensioning to functional testing, through computer-aided production and manufacturing to analysis and quality control can be mapped via CAE.

Designs can be evaluated using simulations instead of physical prototypes. CAE applications can provide insight into product performance early in the development process. This can significantly reduce product development costs and shorten development times. Increased product quality as well as a longer service life are the result.
