Bumps

Buckling refers to the yielding of components under compressive load. It thus describes the loss of stability of a mechanical component that has a planar and thin-walled design.

A buckling analysis is a simulation method to investigate the stability failure (buckling) of a component structurally.

The buckling can be simulated by calculating the eigenvalue buckling or by calculating the geometry non-linearity.
