With more than 31 years of company history, the engineering office Merkle & Partner is one of the first service providers of engineering calculations and simulations in Germany.

At the headquarters in Heidenheim and the branch office in Homburg/Saar, the approximately 50
employees handle up to 500 customer projects each year in the core areas of structural analysis, flow simulation and virtual product development.

Two further branches in Wolfsburg and in Erfurt

You can now also find your specialists for technical and engineering calculations at two additional locations.

After the opening of the Wolfsburg branch in November 2019, Merkle & Partner will start with another branch in Erfurt in the new year 2020.
While Wolfsburg is primarily dedicated to the field of fluid mechanics, Erfurt deals with the main areas of structural mechanics.

Branch office in Wolfsburg

Together with our cooperation partner EDAG AG, one of the largest development partners in the automotive industry, we are tackling current challenges in mobility in Wolfsburg and thus supporting Volkswagen AG.
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) can be used to solve problems that are driving the automotive industry through calculations committed in advance. The most current of these issues is e-mobility.
In addition, we have been focusing on aerodynamics, interior air conditioning, thermal protection, multiphase flow and transmission lubrication in Wolfsburg since November 1.

We are looking forward to the tasks that await us in the Autostadt Wolfsburg.
You can find more information about our new location on our homepage as well as directly from our division manager fluid mechanics Chadi Serhan and our branch manager Jean Daniel Mulot.

In the area of structural mechanics, we focus on numerical FEM simulation with Abaqus, containment, elastomer calculation, and simulation for crash and drop tests. You will find concrete application cases of the main topics in the following articles:

  •     Containment
  •     Elastomer calculation
  •     Simulation for crash and drop tests

Please also have a look at our YouTube channel, where our practical examples are visually presented.

In your structural concerns or for further information, please feel free to contact our head of structural mechanics Dr. Maik Brehm or our branch manager Sören Burckardt.

Mit uns können Sie rechnen. Wir freuen uns Sie an unseren neuen Standorten begrüßen zu dürfen.
